![]() There are scalable options, but i guess this is on a whole new scale. Rule of thumb: If you dont expect a lot of traffic you are fine with a VPS, when you start getting more traffic move to a dedicated server. You get full root access and can do whatever you want with the VPS (as long as it doesnt violate ToS). ![]() These are cheaper but as stated above you get less performance for what you pay for. This does depend on the host (correct me here, but i believe DO, AWS or similar services dont have such limitations). ![]() Arguably you get what you pay for, but I have had VPS suspended for using 100% of its cores more than 30 minutes (There are reasons why this is done). Generally dedicated servers are more expensive and more powerful but you get more performance for your money, while on a VPS the resources are shared among other VPS. Dedicated VPS and Cloud VPS are kinda the same.
